  1. want to chime in also with this comment I left on Allen Parr’s youtube channel when he was condemning the word of faith/prosperity gospel movement and I did not like how he ignores the truth of what faith is as taught in the bible in favor of simply saying “faith is belief in jesus” with no power to in our words or our thoughts etc. which I did not like – so hearing Pastor David clarify this was very refreshing! Here’s the comment I left on Allen’s video hoping it helps anyone else watching (copy & paste):
    The extreme (and emotional) dismissal of what Law of Attraction (LOA) teaches from Christians as if the Bible does not support those ideas at all is a problem and detrimental, Yeshua was the original source for this wisdom and we have to remind and re-educate people on the TRUE way of understanding this human function that Yeshua taught – for example (among many other verses): “Whatever you desire, believe you’ve received it, and it will be yours” [Mark 11:24] – how is that not teaching what LOA teaches? What other way is there to interpret that other than what LOA is saying? BUT, we must also remember that Faith is fruitless without toil [James 2:26] – AND, if we don’t get what we desired then the Bible also teaches that, basically, You don’t know what you don’t know so trust God [1 Corinthians 8:2-3] ––– so with that said, the ONLY pitfall of the LOA culture is that it denies Yeshua’s title as the creator of us all, cherrypicks on his commands (sexual immorality, etc) and ignores His covenant with us in favor of living life on their own terms, then worst of all, the LOA culture is telling people that “they are literally God the creator experiencing life as a part of God” etc etc, and THAT is wrong. That is Satanic to teach people that they themselves is God our creator. ––– Satan takes truth from the Bible and rebrands it for his perverted version…as Christians, we have to stop pushing away LOA believers and instead use that as a “warm lead” onramp back to Christ since what they already believe IS IN FACT BIBLICAL, but they just understand the wrong version of it.

  3. Prosperity gospel, is not the gospel!
    Galatians 1:8 “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.”
    And to anyone reading who believes in this gospel read also 2 Corinthians 11:4, “For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.” We are not called to prosper and seek earthly riches, but heavenly riches, put God first and seek to do his will only. This is not our home! The goal shouldn’t be what we material we can get in this life, but how we can help win souls to Christ. “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15. Read also Proverbs 30:8-9.
